Wayne David “Pinky” Volpe of North Wales, PA passed away peacefully in his Vero Beach, FL home on October 14, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 23, 1952, he was the son of the late Ellen M. (Kropp) and James E. Volpe.
Pinky was a loving and devoted husband to Kathleen J. (nee Cantlin), his wife of 48 years, and a proud father to Laura (wife of Joseph Del Rossi), Wayne (husband of Sarah), Michael (husband of Abigail), and Valerie (wife of Lucio Castano). In addition to his wife and children Pinky is survived by 15 grandchildren, his sister Judy Gaurino, mother-in-law Evelyn Cantlin (nee Dorwart), and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pinky was preceded in death by his brother James E Jr. and sister Marlene Martinas
Pinky’s love and passion for his family was only matched by his lifelong love of the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished every opportunity to connect with nature, whether he was quietly waiting in a tree stand at dawn or braving the salt air as he rode the ocean waves in pursuit of the next big catch. These outdoor adventures were not just hobbies for Pinky—they were treasured moments often shared with his children, grandchildren, and friends, creating memories that will live on for generations.
His appreciation for the beauty and peace of the natural world was evident to all who knew him, and he found great joy in teaching younger family members the skills and values that came with outdoor life. Pinky’s legacy is one of deep family bonds, a zest for adventure, and a reverence for the simple pleasures found in the great outdoors.
