Thomas Allen Brady Sr., age 69, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on November 17, 1955, in Philadelphia, Tom spent his life rooted in family, hard work, and tradition. He worked for many years as a baker — a craft he loved and a role that reflected his steady hands and generous heart. Outside of work, Tom had a deep appreciation for history, music, good food, and the occasional trip to the casino, but above all, he cherished time with his family.
Tom’s legacy extends far beyond his home and profession. He was a tireless advocate for justice and equality, dedicating much of his life to standing up against anti-Semitism, racism, and all forms of hate. His commitment to creating a more compassionate and inclusive world earned him a Civil Rights Award from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), a recognition he accepted with humility and pride.
Known for being “always right, even when he was wrong,” Tom’s wit, strong convictions, and unwavering loyalty left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a protector, a storyteller, and a man who believed in doing what was right — even when it wasn’t easy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Brady; his children: Diane Brady & Warren Prate, Thomas Jr. & Cheryl Brady, and Scott & Michele Brady; his grandchildren: Jordan, Taylor (Joshua), Thomas III, and Christan; his great-grandson, Brady; his loving nephew Harold; and his loyal dog and constant companion, Buddy, who never left his side.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doylestown Health Foundation 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 https://doylestownhealthfoundation.org/ways-to-give/
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and ICU staff for their extraordinary compassion during Tom’s final days.
Tom will be deeply missed, but the values he stood for — love, justice, and family — will continue to live on in all who knew him.
