Obituary

Listen to Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Stefano “Steve” Caruso, age 58, on October 28, 2026. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Steve will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 35 years, Diane; his children, Christina (DJ) Edsell and Angelo (Maggie) Caruso; and his four beloved granddaughters, Gianna, Isabella, Lillian, and Sienna, who were the light of his life.

His memory will also be cherished by his sisters, Lina Peluso and Filomena Caruso, their families, and the many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who were such an important part of his life.

Steve had a way of turning ordinary Sundays into cherished memories, bringing everyone together through food, laughter, and football. Sundays were especially dear to him, spent making his famous Sunday sauce and gathering loved ones around to watch the Eagles game. Those who knew him will forever remember his Sunday spreads and bread, freshly baked cheesecakes and the memories made in his backyard around the fire pit and on his beloved bocce ball court, all part of the gatherings that made his home so special. Steve was happiest in his kitchen, surrounded by the people who meant the most to him.

With Steve, there was always room for one more. The door to his and Diane’s home was forever open and revolving, welcoming family, lifelong friends, and even people he had just met. Nobody ever left hungry, and nobody left without leftovers to take home. Steve had a natural gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel like family.

Steve will also be remembered for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone, without hesitation. Some of his most treasured moments were spent helping family and friends with home projects, car troubles, and technology problems, sharing not only his tricks and knowledge but also his time. For Steve, these moments were about more than simply getting a job done; they were opportunities to teach, connect, and make lasting memories. He was always willing to share what he knew and never hesitated to show up for the people he loved.

Steve was a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years alone. While his passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot describe, his spirit will live on through his wife, children, and grandchildren, in the countless memories shared with family and friends, and in the many lives he touched along the way.

A loving husband, a proud father, a devoted Nonno, a cherished brother, a beloved uncle, a treasured cousin, a loyal friend, and a fighter until the very end.

His battle has ended, but his legacy will live on forever. Rest peacefully, Steve. You were loved beyond measure and will be missed beyond words.
