Paul was born November 26,1949 at Mercy Hospital, Urbana, Ill. to David and Luella (Dickerson) Stanley.

He passed peacefully on Dec. 19, in his home with his loving wife at his bedside.  Paul graduated at Hillcrest High School in Sumter, SC. He went on later to receive a Bible Degree at the Philadelphia college of the Bible now known as Cairn University.

Paul's roots began in Illinois. However, because his dad was in the Armed Forces his travels took him to attending schools in Maine, New Mexico and South Carolina where he graduated High School. His brother Carl and he enjoyed their time in these states with the snow in Maine, Boy scouts in New Mexico where his dad was Scoutmaster, and buying his first car with his paper route in South Carolina.

After graduating high school and a short time at Western Kentucky University, Paul followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Airforce. Paul enjoyed music in high school and his first service activation was playing the bassoon in the Airforce band.

After playing in the band, Paul furthered his training by becoming an aircraft mechanic & flight engineer. He was then deployed to serve in Operation Desert Shield/Storm during the Gulf War. During his time in the service Paul received awards for good conduct and meritorious service.

Paul retired with 22 years of honorable service in both the Airforce and the National Guard.

Paul continued with his mechanical skills by being employed with SEPTA as a mechanic for the regional rail. With 32 years of service at SEPTA he retired from there in 2018.

Paul was a beloved husband to Joy; a loving father to Paul Jr., Amanda, and Christine; and a proud grandfather to Xzavier and Samantha. He was a kind and good man, loved by all who met him. He served faithfully in his country, his church, and his family, living as a devoted servant of the Lord. Even when health challenges arose, he continued to shine his light and bear witness to his faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Luella Stanley and his younger brother Dean.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joy; son Paul Jr.; daughter Amanda (Dom) Stanley and their son Xzavier; Christine (Don) Derolf and their daughter Samantha.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday December 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10: 45 AM at the Triumphant Church 800 York Road Warminster, PA 18974 followed by the Funeral Service at 11 AM.  Interment Private.

Paul will be missed by many as he made friends far and wide. His life lives on in those that knew him and the mission he carried to the Lord and for his country.
