Patrica “Pat” A. Davis (nee Joba), 80, a longtime resident of New Britain, passed away on September 16, 2025. Her loving husband of 59 years, James “Jim”, predeceased her in December 2024. She leaves behind her children, Christina Davis and Timothy Davis (Laurel), and grandchildren, Julius and Luxe Davis, all of Virginia, in addition to her sister-in-law Mary-Elizabeth “Emmy” Joba and nieces, Nancy and Amy, of Florida.

Pat was born in Passaic, New Jersey, on March 27, 1945, the daughter of Walter and Mildred Raymond Joba. When she was a baby, the family moved to a small dairy farm in Stillwater, NY, where she would spend her early years. Growing up she developed a lifelong interest in animals and gardening. She was active in the Jenny Wrens 4H club giving demonstrations and showing her animals and vegetables at the county fair. While attending Buffalo State University, she met Jim whom she married shortly after her graduation in 1966.

Pat worked for many years for the Bucks County Health Department, where she was a supervisor for WIC, a food supplementation program that supported mothers and children. She always had a positive disposition and enjoyed being around people.

Pat loved her pets, traveling and spending time with her family. She took in and cared for many animals throughout her life with her last canine companion being Misty (who was often the recipient of a surreptitious Werther's candy when Pat believed no one was looking). In her retirement, she joined the Chalfont Lions so that she and Jim could spend time together. Their many travels would take them to club meetings and conventions across North America. Pat loved a trip – particularly if the destination was Maine and there was the promise of lobster.

Funeral services will be held October 13, 2025, at 11 am at Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home 175 East Butler Ave Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family after 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to have a donation in Pat’s name be made to a pet rescue of their choice or the National Kidney Foundation. The family would also like to thank the staff and providers at Heritage Point for all the care they gave Pat over the past 5 years.
