Joan Ann Rauch

Joan Ann Rauch (nee Tressel), age 72, of Warrington, PA passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Ruth Tressel (nee Donterville). Joan Ann was also the beloved wife of Robert L. Rauch where they were blessed with 52 years of marriage. Together they shared many trips to the Jersey Shore, especially Cape May, where they enjoyed sitting by the Cape May Ferry, shopping, spending time with family and enjoying many backyard barbecues in the Villas, NJ.

Joan Ann initially worked as a hairdresser before devoting her time to raising her daughters. She also remained busy working part time jobs at the Baker's Garden in Willow Grove and the Flourtown Country Club. However, the majority of her work life was dedicated to Holy Redeemer Hospital where she worked in the Business Office for nearly 30 years.

Joan Ann was also the loving mother of Heather Chambers (Mark) and Kimberly Stein (David) where she and Robert raised their family and resided in Glenside, PA for over 30 years. Joan's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, Liam, Emma, Tristan, Bri, and Jason. She enjoyed watching them grow up, play sports, participate in recitals, attend proms and their graduations. Joan Ann (aka: Grandma or Grams) was known for her back rubs, yummy cakes and cookies and her endless supply of love and support for each of them.

Joan Ann loved everything about Christmas and making the holidays special for others. She was selfless, kind hearted, and always put the needs of others before her own. She was not only a devoted wife, mother and grandma, but also a caring sister, a thoughtful cousin, and a doting aunt to her nieces and nephews. Joan Ann never complained about her situation, and she battled Parkinson's for over 12 years with dignity and grace. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11 AM at Scanlin McDonald Funeral Home, located at 175 East Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home for a Viewing beginning after 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
