Dorothy E. O'Neill

Dorothy Ellen (Forgione) O’Neill, September 7, 1941, of Chalfont, PA., passed

on November 18, 2023. Beloved wife of William James O’Neill (59 Years

Married); survived by son, Brian J. O’Neill (Kelly); daughter Michele A.

Zielke (Albert); grandchildren, Jason T., Kristin M., and Ryan M. Zielke;

sister, Helen T. McDowell (Bill).

Dorothy was born in Philadelphia and raised

in Drexel Hill, PA. She graduated from West Chester State College (1963)

with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. Her major was

Biology. In 1980 she graduated from Villanova University with a master’s

degree in counseling and human relations. Early in her career, Dorothy

taught science in the Penn-Delco School District.

She also volunteered with the Girl Scouts of Delaware County (Brownies)

and the Boy Scouts of Delaware County (Cub Scouts). While a member of St. John Chrysostom

parish in Wallingford, PA., she was a volunteer with the various church

groups. Dorothy was predeceased by her granddaughter, Amanda R. Zielke,

as well as by her parents, Adolph and Rose (Vassallo) Forgione. Services will

be held on Saturday, November 25, at St. Jude RC Church, Chalfont, PA.,

with the viewing beginning at 10:00; Mass at 11:00; Interment at St. John

Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to St. Jude

Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN.
