Bettye S. Caldwell

Bettye Sue Caldwell, 93, passed away on May 3, 2025. She was the wife of the late Dr Henry Cecil Caldwell and the mother of Dr Cecilia Lynn Caldwell (Phil Scavotto), Henry Brent Caldwell and Mark Dumas Caldwell (Caryl-Sue). Bettye is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Olivia Violet LeBoon, Samuel Mark Caldwell, Elijah Luke Caldwell and Adeline Susannah Kost and her 3 great grandchildren: Violet, Grayson and Elijah, Jr. Bettye was born in Jan 1932 in Good Hope, Mississippi, and graduated from Mississippi College in 1954. Before starting her family, she taught elementary school for 3 years in a 2-room schoolhouse in Lawrence, Kansas, and 1 year at Roslyn Elementary School. Her Southern charm remained with her for her entire life. Her graciousness touched those who met her and knew her. She was a woman of God and was devoted to her loving family and friends. A memorial service to honor Bettye's life will be held at 11 AM on 30 May 2025 at Calvary United Methodist Church, on Park and Lindenwold Avenues, Ambler, PA. A visitation at the church will begin at 10 AM. A lunch for all is planned after the memorial service; details to be provided at the service. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Henry Cecil Caldwell Pharmacy Scholarship Endowment at the University of Mississippi.
