Anne Marie Mateka

Anne Marie Mateka, a woman whose love knew no bounds and whose generosity touched countless lives, passed away suddenly on October 7, 2025, within a week of receiving a cancer diagnosis. She was 66 years old.
Anne Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael M. Mateka, her cherished son, Michael C. Mateka, her dearest parents, Edward A. Baldini and Rita A. Baldini, and big brother, Edward J. Baldini. Though her heart bore these profound losses, she continued to radiate warmth, strength, and unconditional love to all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Jillian Mateka (Anthony Grippo), and her treasured grandchildren, Isabella Ramirez and Emmanuel Ramirez, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Anne Marie was a devoted Nonna whose love for her grandchildren was infinite. She is also survived by her siblings, Terrie Doyle and Michael G. Baldini (Jeanette), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Anne Marie possessed one of the most loving and generous spirits anyone could hope to encounter. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcomed and deeply cared for. Her home was always open, her heart always ready to give, and her presence a constant source of comfort and joy. Whether through her warm embrace, her thoughtful gestures, or simply her radiant smile, Anne Marie had a way of making the world a brighter place.
Her sudden passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday October 11, 2025, at Resurrection of Our Lord Church 2000 Shelmire Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19152. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at the Church Saturday after 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
